Yes to both. On request we prepare our cheese fondue completely without alcohol, without wine and without kirsch. You do not need to order ahead, just tell us at the table. Alongside it we serve alcohol-free sparkling wine, alcohol-free wheat beer and our home-made passion fruit ginger spritz without alcohol.

At Say Cheese, cheese fondue always starts at two people, starter and dessert included. We open with a sharing board and finish with a dessert in a glass.

The five cheese fondues cost between 29 and 43 euros per person, each including a starter, freshly baked bread and dessert. Children aged 5 to 12 pay one euro per year of age.

Yes. The vegan fondue is called “Garten Eden” and costs 39 euros per person. It can also be ordered as the spicy “Hans Dampf” or with winter truffle as “Etepetete”.

For groups of 12 or more, yes. Anyone who does not eat cheese gets an alternative dish. Just mention it in the event enquiry and we will plan for it. At regular tables this is not possible, there we serve cheese fondue only. In five varieties though, including the vegan Garten Eden.

No. Say Cheese takes bookings exclusively online through OpenTable, separately for each location. From 12 people the booking runs through the enquiry form on wio-cheese.de.

At two locations in the Dreiländereck: in Grenzach-Wyhlen at the Schlotzeria on Basler Strasse 10, and in Lörrach in the middle of the town centre. Which venue it will be in Lörrach is announced on 15 October 2026.

Wednesday to Saturday from 18:00 to 23:00, the last table is seated at 21:30. Sundays from 18:00 to 22:00, last table at 20:30. Grenzach is open from 21 October 2026 to 14 March 2027, Lörrach from 15 November 2026 to 14 February 2027.

Yes. Under “Healthy and sensible” Say Cheese swaps the bread for broccoli and Brussels sprouts, for 6 euros per portion. New potatoes are 6 euros too.

Yes, on pre-order. Tell us when you book and gluten-free bread will be waiting for you. We cannot conjure it up at the table, sadly. If you would rather skip bread altogether, under “Healthy and sensible” we swap it for broccoli and Brussels sprouts.

Yes, from 12 people. There are three set menus at 30, 39 and 49 euros per person plus a drinks package at 29 euros per person. The enquiry runs through the form on wio-cheese.de, not through OpenTable.
